Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1Welcome to India
We meet you at Delhi airport and take you to your hotel. When you're ready, New Delhi welcomes you with its grand avenues: India Gate, the President's House and Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world. That night, rest: the best is just beginning. Night in Delhi.
Day 2The soul of Old Delhi
Old Delhi is pure motion. You step into Jama Masjid, one of India's largest mosques, pay tribute to Gandhi at Raj Ghat and hop on a rickshaw through Chandni Chowk among spices, fabrics and scents. In the afternoon, by car to Agra, and as the sun goes down you see the Taj Mahal for the first time from the Mehtab Bagh gardens, across the Yamuna River. Night in Agra.
Day 3The Taj Mahal at sunrise
You wake early to watch it wake up: with the first light the Taj Mahal changes color, and that moment stays with you. After breakfast, Agra Fort, from where Emperor Shah Jahan gazed at the Taj in his final years. On the way to Jaipur, Fatehpur Sikri, the city Emperor Akbar built and then abandoned. Night in Jaipur.
Day 4Jaipur, the pink city
A jeep takes you up to Amber Fort, high on the hill, with its courtyards, mirrored halls and views that stretch to the horizon. Then the City Palace, where the royal family still lives; Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory nearly 300 years old; and Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds. In the evening, get lost in the fabric and jewelry markets and, if you like, end with Rajasthani music and dance. Night in Jaipur.
Day 5See you soon, India
One last breakfast and back to Delhi. We drop you at the airport or wherever you prefer, with a full heart and every reason to return.
