Who is responsible for your data
Claudio Bortoluz Cardona, doing business as CASUS, located at Guillermo Prieto 60, Col. San Rafael, Cuauhtémoc, 06470, Mexico City, Mexico, is responsible for processing your personal data. For any privacy matter, write to hola@casus.com.mx.
What data we collect
- Your email, if you join the waitlist.
- If you create an account with Google: your name, email and Google profile photo.
- Your CASUS Compass quiz answers and your CASUS Society tribe.
- The trips you design in "Design your trip" (destinations, dates, itinerary and checklist), if you have an account.
- Your CASUS profile, if you fill it in: what you do, what you're building, your adventures, your city and whether you'd like us to introduce you to other members.
- Your email and the destinations you pick, if you ask us to tell you about your tribe's trips.
- Your language and whether you agreed to receive the newsletter.
- Technical data: cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language, and which social network you came from (for example, Instagram). We also count anonymous quiz steps (started, answered, finished) without your name or email, to improve the quiz.
We do not collect sensitive or financial data.
What we use it for
Necessary purposes: creating and managing your account, saving your tribe and coordinates, saving your trips and looking at them only when needed to support you or fix a problem with your account, showing you destinations and places for your tribe, letting you know when CASUS launches if you joined the waitlist, and telling you about your tribe's trips if you asked.
Additional purposes (only if you accept): sending you the CASUS newsletter with content, trips and promotions; internal statistics to improve the site; and introducing you to other CASUS members if you asked for it in your profile (we always ask you before sharing your contact details). You can refuse or cancel them at any time by writing to us or using the unsubscribe link in each email.
Who we share it with
We use providers that store or process data on behalf of CASUS: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (site hosting) and Google (Sign in with Google). These providers may store data outside Mexico. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use (ARCO rights), and withdraw your consent. Write to hola@casus.com.mx with your name, the right you want to exercise and a description of your request. We will reply within 20 business days. You can also ask us to delete your account.
Cookies
We use our own cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
